Bobfest in Raduil – 13 years in early September the beans from the village Raduil gather in the square in a village and in the community center “Hristo Botev” ensembles, groups, orchestras, artists, artisans, photographers, cartoonists, fans of Bulgarian folklore and many other guests. There are prizes – the statue “Golden Bean” or the medal “Golden fasulitsar”, certificates, gifts and the love of people of Raduil. This is a way for guests of this holiday to get acquainted with the sights of the village, 12 chapels, two churches, monastery.

Rila zelnik in Beli Iskar – This year’s celebration of the Rila zelnik will celebrate 13 years.The Rila zelnik is a typical local dish of pastry and filled with cheese, eggs and leeks. Best looking and most delicious are evaluated by a jury. Usually, the celebrations include local amateur dancing and singing ensembles from the villages along the tributaries of the Iskar River – Madjare, Mala Tsarkva, Govedarci and of course Beli Iskar. Rock in Rila  – the rock Marathon “Rock in Rila” is held 11 years in August on the stadium of the village. Bulgarian and foreign groups demonstrate skills and young Bulgarian rock groups present their songs. Since 2014 the festival is held in Borovets.

Holiday of Samokov – since 2002 the town of Samokov celebrate its holiday on 21 of August – Assumption of St. Simeon of Samokov, patron of the town. Within a week they are organized a lot of cultural events, concerts, events, festivals – Festival of the tourist song “White Gate of Rila” traditional festival of Karakachani, outplay with the participation of dance groups from Samokov and visiting folk group, the competition for kids “Mini Miss and Mini Mister”.

“The Magic of Rila Mountain” – Borovets. Borovets is the host of one of the largest festivals in the country – “The Magic of Rila Mountain”, which is held in June. Guests of the resort have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the magic of the native culture and traditions. The main event of the festival is the competition for Bulgarian folk dances. Rich concert program includes singers, musicians and dancers from Samokov and country. Craftsmen demonstrate their skills. Organized by the Union of hoteliers and owners in Borovets.

National Folklore Festival “Nashensko horo” - Samokov. In the festival take part all schools and clubs, studying Bulgarian folk dances.

“Gift of Nature” – Govedartsi. The festival in Govedartsi is a celebration of craftsmen, producers of organic food and is accompanied by a lot of songs and people of local groups. Organizers of the festival are Municipality of Samokov, Govedartsi mayoralty and the local Community center “Hristo Botev 1928″. Guests of the festival can enjoy the bazaar green products – potatoes, honey, milk, cheese, cottage cheese, fresh berries, herbs, and the incredible paintings, handicrafts and the sounds and rhythms of the concert of the groupd from the municipality.

“Festival of Old Town Songs” – Samokov. Samokov and Memorial Community Center “Father Paisii” are hosting the Festival of Old Town Songs. The festival revives to life the charm of an old Bulgarian town song.

“Theatres Without Borders” – Samokov. During the last week of October is held the  National festival of amateur theaters “Theatres without borders”. The festival is a competition. Its organizer is Community center- memorial “Father Paisii”.
